Major-General W.W.P. Gibsone, C.M.G., D.S.O., O.B.E.
At Montreal on 3rd November 1957, in his 86th year. Maj Gen Gibsone was commissioned in 1900 and appointed to the Regiment. Three years later he was promoted to Captain.
During World War I he served overseas as assistant adjutant quarter-master 3rd Canadian Division CEF.
In recognition for services rendered he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order, the Order of the British Empire, and The French Croix de Guerre.
