APPENDIX 6
My dear THOMPSON,
I don't want to lose a minute in thanking you for the great assistance your Regiment afforded us, when you were our support in the recent operations.
Your Support Companies and your Carrying Parties were invaluable to us, to say nothing of the working parties which you gave us to repair the road for our Transport.
It is needless to say how heartily we congratulate you on your regiment's brillian manoeuvre on the night of the 14th/15th August 1918 which we all agree was the outstanding feature of the Brigade.
Best Luck to you and your regiment, in the future.
Yours sincerely,
C.M. STEWART, The P.P.C.L.I.17-8-1918.
