THE ROYAL CANADIAN REGIMENT.
The following from 7TH Canadian Infantry Brigade for your information and necessary action:-
It is proposed to carry out a Skeleton practice of a move to the Brigade Assembly Area, and thence to the defences of the PURPLE SYSTEM.
On a message being received "For Practice Move to Assembly positions", all Officers and N.C.O's down to Section Commanders will move to Assembly positions. Dress- Battle Order. Completion of this move to be notified by visual signalling to Brigade Headquarters, which will be established in the quarry (R.23.b.)
Upon a message being received "For practice man PURPLE SYSTEM" skeleton Battalions will move from their Assembly positions and take up their Battle positions in the PURPLE SYSTEM; Headquarters to be established and completion of move to be notified by visual to Brigade Headquarters at R.14.a.90.85.
On completion of Practice battalions will render a full report on same, paying particular attention to the time required to make each move.
Please take every precaution so that when practice comes, Officers will be familiar with Routes to ASSEMBLY POST, etc and minimum time will be wasted.
