3RD CANADIAN DIVISION OPERATION ORDER No. 146
dated 10th DECEMBER 1917.

1.     DIVISIONAL AREA.

An Administrative Map of the New Divisional Area is in course of preparation, and will be issued as soon as possible to Formations.

2.     TOWN MAJORS.

3.     ACCOMMODATION.

The 8TH and 9TH Canadian Infantry Brigades will take over accommodation from the Formations they relieve. As there are Transport Lines for three Infantry Brigades in the vicinity of LES BREBIS and South of MAZINGARBE a readjustment can be made of desired by Brigades after the Division has taken over.

Locations for the Transport of 7TH Canadian Infantry Bde. Will be notified later. Accommodation for the personnel will be taken over from the 3RD Canadian Infantry Bde.

The 8TH and 9TH Field Companies take over accommodation of units they are relieving in LES BREBIS. Accommodation for the 7TH Field Company, Divisional Pack Mule Company, Divisional Gas Officer and Mobile Veterinary Section, will be notified later.

4.     RAILHEAD.

The Supply Railhead will change to SAINS BOUVIGNY ion 21st instant.

5.     SUPPLIES.

Supplies will be drawn from the Refilling Points at railhead to the Unit Transport Lines by the Train.

The rations supply to the line is at present as follows on the Front taken over by the 11TH Division.

RIGHT BRIGADE.For Left Battalion by road (1ST Line Transport) to OSLER SIDING, thence to Push Line.
Right Battalion by 1ST Line Transport to JUNCTION POST.
CENTRE BRIGADE.By 1ST Line Transport to HARTS CRATER (M.6.c.9.8.)
LEFT BRIGADE.By Road to KINGSBRIDGE SIDING (G.20.c.3.4.) thence to TOSH ALLEY by Light Railway (Mule Traction) and thence by push line to Battalions.

Front taken over from 1ST Canadian Division. - By Train wagons to 7TH Canadian Inf. Bde. Transport Lines. Thence by 1ST Line Transport and Light Railway to Forward Area.

6.     WATER.

There is a good pipe line system with water points close up to the Front Line. Water is carried forward from these points in petrol tins

7.     TRENCH MUNITIONS.

Divisional Trench Munition Dump is at R.11.b.3.9. BULLY GRENAY. It is call McGOVERN'S DUMP. The officer in charge lives at Billet No. 12 Rue DE LIEVEN, BULLY GRENAY.

Trench Munitions are sent forward by Light Railway on demand of Brigades.

8.     TRENCH STORES.

There should be a considerable quantity of Boots Gum Thigh, Petrol Tins, Gas Appliances, Braziers and Hot Food Containers to take over. Brigades will submit a return to this Office without delay, showing all Trench Stores taken over on completion of the relief.

10.     LIGHT RAILWAYS.

(1)     There is a heavy tram line running from LES BREBIS to LOOS with a branch to CITE ST PIERRE. At CITE ST PIERRE this branch again divides, one line called the Hill 70 line running to NASH ALLEY and the other to N.7.a.3.3.

On the left of the Divisional Sector there is a line for the supply of the Left Brigade running from KINGSBRIDGE STATION (33c/G.20.c.3.4.) to G.30.d.4.6. where it Branches to H.Q. of Right and Left Battalions.

(2)     R.T.O's offices are at LES BREBIS and KINGSBRIDGE STATIONS respectively to who demands for trucks must be made by 12 noon on day they area required.

Indents must state:-

(a)     Time and place trucks required.

(b)     Number of trucks required.

(c)     Siding where trucks are required to be sent for unloading.

(d)     The nature of articles for which trucks are required.

An orderly must be sent by Unit demanding trucks to R.T.O's Office at 3.00 p.m. to ascertain if they are available.

11.     DIVISIONAL PACK COMPANY.

The Divisional Pack Mule Company will probably be billeted at BULLY GRENAY. Exact location to be notified later. It will be available for work on 22nd instant.

12.     TRAFFIC CONTROL.

Instructions regarding Traffic Control and Stragglers Posts will be notified later.

13.     ORDNANCE SERVICES.

The Ordnance Depot will be at BRACQUEMONT on and after 22nd instant.

14.     VETERINARY SERVICES.

The D.A.D.V.S. will be located at BRACQUEMONT.

15.     SALVAGE.

Main Divisional Dump is at HILLTOP SIDING R.6.a.4.9.

BRIGADE SALVAGE DUMPS.

16.     ENTERTAINMENTS.

Cinema at LES BREBIS - L.35.b.0.5.
Theatre and Cinema at BRACQUEMONT - L.25.b.10.25.

Locations of Y.M.C.A's will be notified later.

17.     BATHS AND LAUNDRY.

Baths in the Divisional Area are as follows:-

18.     BURIALS & CEMETERIES.

Divisional Burial Officer will be at Billet No. 1 Rue de CONGE, BRACQUEMONT.
